Okay, so let us break this beautiful wedding invitation envelope down to pieces.
We need the following:
gray cardstock white specialty paper beige cardstock 0.5 inch wide ribbon 2-inch wide ribbon ribbon buckle embossing folder cuttlebug/sizzix
So, I have this gray-colored cardstock that was cut and folded to be a 5″ x 5″ envelope. Then a 2 inch gold (or beige?) ribbon wrapped around it. The back of that envelope where the flap folds is really gorgeous, too! That 2-inch ribbon makes a very nice bow on that side.
Then I cut 4.5 ” x 4.5″ beige-colored cardstock, glued on top of it is a 4.25″ x 4.25″ white colored specialty paper printed with the names of the couple and the date of the wedding. But wait! before I glued both of them, there are few more steps I did:
I got my embossing folder and cuttlebug (or any brand will do) out
I embossed the design to 1.5″x 4.25″ gray-colored paper (same paper/cardstock as my
I glued that embossed paper to my white paper.
I used dry adhesive for my 0.5 inch ribbon (and made sure the ribbon buckle is
placed where I wanted it to be).
After those steps, I finally glued the two pieces together. Then using dry adhesive, I attached the square paper to the big ribbon.
Well, that’s it! So easy to do!
Tell me what you think! Would really love to hear your ideas!
